Mark Lassiter is a singer/ songwriter/producer originally from Atlanta now living in North Carolina. He has had an incredible journey making a full-length Pop Rock album from his rural home by using his computer and available technology. Mark networked using social networking sites such as Myspace and Facebook and was able to collaborate with rock stars from his favorite bands! Current or former members of Collective Soul, Foo Fighters, The Wallflowers, Blind Melon, The Posies, R.E.M., Revolting Cocks, James Taylor's Band, Phil Collins, Toto, Bad Company's Paul Rogers band, The Disciplines, Abandon Jalopy, and several others are represented on Mark's debut album, Living Past. Mark was also able to network with amazing engineers Blake Eiseman, Karyadi Sutedja, and Grammy Award winning engineer Bruce Irvine (Whitesnake, Anthony Hamilton) With an accessible heavy Pop sound that could be described as Collective Soul meets Rod Stewart as produced by Phil Collins., Mark has created a sweet but edgy record with 12 songs that will make you want to get in the car, drive and groove on down the road! The songs are meant to inspire and light a fire under the listener and realize their potential. Living Past was release 2009 and is available at CD Baby as a physical digipak and as digital download at online stores iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, and others. It was voted in the top 20 Indie Albums of 2009 by podcaster and DJ Zack Daggy at www.mothpod.com.
Mark has also worked in talent discovery and executive production with Brad Smith of the band Blind Melon. Mark is currently producing rap artist Comz and, as always, working on new music with his co-writer/ co-producer Gabe Nicholson.
